For over 20 years, Amideast has been an Authorized Training Provider for the Project Management Institute. As such, our exam preparation courses only use official PMI-created student and instructor materials and all trainers must complete a Training of Trainers with PMI prior to delivering courses.

CONSULTANT DESCRIPTION 

Amideast is seeking to establish a roster of up to five qualified Project Management Professional (PMP) trainers to deliver high-quality PMP certification exam preparation courses in accordance with PMI and Amideast standards.

Selected trainers will be included in Amideast's roster of independent contractors and may be engaged on an assignment-by-assignment basis, depending on course schedules, client demand, and trainer availability. Training will be delivered primarily online, with potential opportunities for in-person delivery depending on the trainer's location and program requirements.

This is not a permanent or full-time position. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a minimum number of training assignments or hours of work.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:                              Independent Contractor – assignment based

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver online 36-hour PMP exam preparation training courses, covering all relevant topics, and ensuring that participants are well-prepared for the PMP exam
• Apply effective instructional methods and best practices to create an interactive and engaging learning environment that meets the needs of participants
• Deliver the official PMI-developed content as presented by PMI in their Train The Trainer (TTT) session
• Develop relevant supplemental training material, including case studies, handouts, and practice exam questions based on PMI-approved material and resources such as the PMBOK Guide, Agile Handbook, etc.
• Provide Amideast with a full lesson plan, materials, presentation, and any other items to be used during the training at least 5 days prior to the start of training
• Ensure that all training participants create a PMI.org profile and log into the Amideast-PMI platform to redeem their license and get access to required learning materials
• Use effective adult learning methodologies and training techniques to engage participants, facilitate discussions, and encourage active learning
• Monitor and assess the progress of participants throughout the training program, providing feedback and additional support as needed, in addition to submitting reports to the Amideast team
•  Stay up-to-date with changes in the PMP exam, PMBOK Guide, and other PMI references, ensuring that training materials and content remain relevant

   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

• Have a degree in business, management or similar field.An MBA is preferred
• PMP certification is required.PMP certification must be current, i.e. all PDUs met to maintain active certification
• 3+ years of work experience in project management is required
• 2+ years of training experience is required. Significant experience leading online training is preferred
• Current ATP PMP Instructor badge or willingness to complete the PMI Train the Trainer (TTT)
• Proficient in the use of modern software and tools used in project management such as Asana and Microsoft Project and the training industry such as Zoom and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in Arabic or French is desirable
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, online training skills, planning skills, interpersonal skills 

   TRAINER AVAILABILITY AND ASSIGNMENTS

• Trainers will be contacted regarding potential assignments based on program needs, relevant expertise, availability, and scheduling requirements
• Courses will primarily be delivered live online serving participants across multiple countries in the Middle East and North Africa
• Trainers should be available to deliver courses according to agreed schedules, which may include evening or weekend sessions depending on participant needs
• Specific assignments, schedules, deliverables, and compensation will be agreed upon in advance
• Trainers may accept or decline individual assignments based on their availability

• Relevant experience delivering PMP exam preparation courses, including online training experience
• Current PMP certification and PMI ATP Instructor status, if applicable
• Country of residence and languages in which they can deliver training
• General availability for online and potential in-person training assignments
