POSITION DESCRIPTION

Amideast/Egypt seeks to hire STEM Curriculum developer, experienced in animation, graphics and 3D printing. The goal of the program is to provide Egyptian children and youth with opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills in market-relevant STEM fields.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The STEM Curriculum Developer will be responsible for updating an already existing curriculum in Animation, Graphics and 3D Printing for students ages 16-22 and developing interactive and engaging content for different STEM courses. S/he will also update standardized curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ guide), handouts, and instructional PowerPoint slides.

 
Tasks, responsibilities, and deliveries for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure the logical sequencing of technical content, material, and resources. 
Outline the objectives to be reached per session. 
Ensure the accuracy of technical content, material and resources prepared and supported by references.
Update standardized curriculum manuals (participants’ guide and trainers’ ‘guide), handouts, and instructional PowerPoint slides for the assigned courses. 
Include interactive activities using video, case studies, gamification…etc. 
Share each module with Amideast for feedback and editing. 
Share the criteria for selecting participants.  

Requirements:

Bachelor’s (Masters preferred)
Experience in STEM education, preferred experience in course design
Experience in Animation, Graphics and 3D Printing curriculum, such as: concepts of animation, motion graphics, 2D animation techniques, 3D animation, and 3D printing for prototype building, animation process, after Effects interface, keyframes and layer properties, time and space relations, motion paths, kinetic typography, Adobe Illustrator basics,
