POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for supporting the financial administration of Fulbright Program participant awards and overall project financial management and reporting.

SALARY: $57,400 per year, payable bi-weekly.
LOCATION: Position is based in our Washington, DC office. We currently work a hybrid schedule that will require two days per week (Tuesday, Thursday) in the office. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor, track, and create payment vouchers for scholarship students, universities, and alumni grant recipients
Liaise with university billing contacts to troubleshoot student account issues
Review recurring student monthly allowance payments for errors and liaise with Accounting regarding delays, holds and other payment issues
Coordinate with Accounting to set up new student IDs and project numbers
Maintain a calendar year workplan and timeline of the student tax process in collaboration with the student tax services provider (Sprintax) and Amideast Accounting
Serve as point of contact for Sprintax, program participants, and other partners in student tax-related matters
Understand the student general tax preparation process and communicate it to staff and program participants
Collect and process participant SSNs, ITINs, W-8BEN, and power of attorney forms as necessary
Process participant tax refund checks and eligible state tax reimbursements
Reconcile credit card logs and ensure the completeness and correctness of log information
Assist Director in reviewing financial reports as needed
Assist Director in creating and reviewing ad-hoc and client quarterly financial reports
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years related experience
Demonstrated ability to be proactive, resourceful, and collaborate in a team environment
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred
Experience using Deltek Costpoint or similar software

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The incumbent will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (hybrid):
Computer (laptop or desktop)
Printer/Photocopier/Scanner/Fax
Telephone
