POSITION DESCRIPTION
Amideast’s West Bank English Language Training Program Assistant position is based at the organization’s office in Ramallah, with travel in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as needed. 

The West Bank English Language Training Program Assistant will assist the Program Coordinator and Officer  with the management, growth, quality, and sustainability of Amideast’s English Language and Training program portfolio in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including English language teaching and learning programs for students and teachers, professional skills training, test preparation courses, and specialized training programs, including programs sponsored by donors and partners through grants and contracts. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Overall Position Responsibilities:  The employee will report to and receive general supervision, administrative guidance, and day-to-day supervision from the EL and Training Program Officer, West Bank. Specifically, the employee is responsible for the following duties:

Answers inquiries about Amideast EL and training programs and services
Administers placement tests, as needed
Handles customer relations and registers clients and follows up with clients
Works with the Program Officer to support teachers and organizing class schedules
Daily monitoring of class progress, customer satisfaction, etc. to ensure our quality standard
Follow-up and collection of student grades and progress reports for all programs
Support Access programming and assist with monitoring and reporting on student progress
Assist in the routine monitoring and support of international and national trainers 
Responsible for student registrations in Proclass and office filing systems
Maintain EL, Access, and training alumni database and social media pages
Maintains Amideast teacher resource library and Access library
Create social media posts and respond to questions on social media in a timely manner
Develop and update promotional materials
Update Amideast website
Any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required
Minimum 4 years’ college or university and 2 years relevant work experience.
Fluent spoken Arabic;
Excellent English language skills
Detail-oriented
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to multi-task in a busy workplace environment;
Strong customer service orientation;
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and be self-directed and motivated;
Positive attitude, and ability to work well with others;
Familiarity with computers, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 
Preferred: Experience in social media marketing and graphic design

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis).

Up to 5% business travel may be needed to support programs as needed.
