POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Senior Program Assistant will interface with the programs and projects. S/he establishes and increases relationships with partners and other Amideast departments and branches.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the administrative procedures of the authentication and accreditation services of American degrees obtained from American-accredited universities and schools, in addition to the accreditation procedures of SAT/TOEFL/GRE score reports
Develop and implement organizational system for all hard copies of program documents
Prepare and disseminate pre-departure briefing materials to finalists and follow up on the visa application process in a timely manner
Provide administrative and logistical support for programs including arranging accommodation and travel arrangements along with ot
Handle the arrangements of the financials related to student allowances and tuition under the supervision of the program lead and in coordination with Finance, universities, and students
Observe students' participation in program activities and share findings and recommendations
Organize and conduct information sessions for programs whenever needed
Communicate and update the Scholarships and Exchange programs Alumni database
Register clients in the various in-house information sessions 
Handle procurement/travel/transportation requests 
Conduct research in scholarships topics
Assist staff with orienting participants on the various Scholarships and Exchange programs 
Review applications of participants for completeness and eligibility and facilitate application review to identify semifinalists
Arrange interviews of semifinalists and finalize interviews logistics
Communicate regularly via email and telephone with finalists to provide updated information about program contents and arrangements
Provide all administrative and operational support to successfully conduct programs and activities
Work with public and private academic institutions and organizations to distribute information about exchange programs
Respond to inquiries from prospective exchanges programs participants
Assist in preparing for the American universities College Fair in Cairo
 
QUALIFICATIONS

Required
 
Bachelor’s degree   
3+ years of work experience  
Knowledge of or experience in development programs   
Prior work experience or internship in an NGO 
Excellent professional communication skills (written and oral) 
Excellent command of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
 
Preferred
 
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to details
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
TOEIC score of minimum 650 or equivalent
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis)
