Grants Portfolio Lead(Egypt)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Amideast Egypt provides valuable assistance to students and graduates who require authentication of their U.S. degrees and certification of the institution's accreditation and legitimacy. Amideast Egypt offers authentication and accreditation services of American degrees obtained from accredited institutions in the United States and/or from American institutions around the globe recognised by the U.S. Council of Higher Education.

The Grants Portfolio Lead is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and daily operations of certification programs , American Corner and the Grants department. This role ensures high-quality program delivery, fosters partnerships, promotes U.S. culture and values, and enhances youth capacity through educational and professional development activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Certification Program Management

  • Ensure compliance with accrediting body standards and maintain updated course materials.
  • Ensure accurate following of Certification and Verification manual.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the program.
  • Ensure correct procedure and verification of all documents from receiving documents till point of delivery to CS

 

   2. Exchange Program:

  • Work with public and private academic institutions and organizations to distribute information about exchange programs
  • Assist the Exchange Grants Portfolio Manager in the implementation of grant programs and handling program details while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Contribute in the department strategic planning, goal setting and annual budget preparation as required
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely technical, statistical, and financial reports to partners, donors, and to AMIDEAST HQ budget for all exchange programs as required
  • Organizing alumni events with Exchange department staff and other required parties
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective exchanges programs participants
  • Maintain department processes in an efficient and effective manner
  • Collaborate positively with other Amideast departments (education and Training, Testing, Customer Service)
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for exchange programs including making housing arrangements and other administrative tasks when needed
  • Register clients in the various in office information sessions
  • Conduct online and in -person outreach for Exchange Scholarships programs

 

3. American Corner Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the American Corner, ensuring it remains a dynamic and welcoming learning space.
  • Curate and implement a diverse calendar of programs aligned with U.S. cultural diplomacy and educational objectives.
  • Coordinate with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate and other stakeholders for joint events, speaker programs, and campaigns.
  • Maintain and promote resources (books, digital tools, equipment) available at the Corner.
  • Supervise volunteers or interns supporting American Corner activities.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with local educational institutions, NGOs, government bodies, and U.S. Embassy representatives.
  • Represent the organization and the American Corner at meetings, workshops, and public events.
  • Develop communication strategies to promote certifications and American Corner programs, including social media outreach.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze program data to evaluate outcomes and improve delivery.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports for internal use and donor requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and certifications issued.

Qualifications and Skills

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in program coordination, education, or cultural exchange programs.
  • Strong understanding of certification standards and educational program development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (proficiency in local language is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with U.S. culture and foreign policy priorities is an asset.

Preferred

  • Minimum TOEIC score of 900 or equivalent
  • Attention to details
