POSITION DESCRIPTION

Seeking English Language Teachers (native speaker) with the general purpose to plan, organize, and implement an engaging conversation and instructional programs in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their proficiency in native-like speaking and maximize their English language core skills.

Deliverables:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction
  • Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
  • Provide appropriate feedback on students’ progress
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
  • Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
  • Prepare tests, examination papers, and exercises
  • Devise, write and produce supplementary materials, including audio and visual resources
  • Attend and contribute to teacher development training sessions
  • Make class visits and observe other teachers
  • Follow mentorship plan as needed
  • Participate in department meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Native English speaker
  • Flexibility and adaptability (i.e. schedule and location)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • TDC – Teacher Development Certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of LMS and Smart Board technology as well as MS Office applications required
