POSITION DESCRIPTION

Amideast/Egypt is seeking a qualified AI Instructor to deliver the Artificial Intelligence component, part of the English for Career Readiness and AI Literacy (ECRAiL) program. The program targets Egyptian youth aged 18–30 across multiple cities and aims to strengthen employability through an intensive program combining English for Career Readiness, AI literacy, and Career Engagement Network Activities (CAN). The training will be delivered over 32 hours within a one-month period and will target participants from technology-related backgrounds, including: 1) Aspiring tech entrepreneurs 2) Entry-level staff at tech companies 3) University students in relevant fields 4) Entry-level government employees in key ministries.

The instructor is expected to deliver sessions covering, but not limited to: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, AI tools and platforms for workplace productivity, AI ethics, data privacy, and responsible AI use, Real-world applications of AI across sectors.

The instructor will deliver practical, hands-on training that equips participants with the skills to effectively and responsibly use AI tools in professional contexts.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

 The consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on AI concepts and applications.
• Facilitate both theoretical understanding and practical, hands-on exercises
• Guide participants through real-world case studies and applied learning activities
• Support participants in developing practical skills in using AI tools for productivity and analysis
• Provide mentorship and guidance on applying AI skills in career pathways
• Assess participant progress through assignments, quizzes, and practical exercises
• Ensure consistent delivery quality in line with the approved curriculum
• Adapt delivery methods to suit participants with diverse backgrounds and varying technical levels
• Collaborate with the AMIDEAST team to continuously enhance training delivery.
• Stay updated on the latest AI tools, trends, and best practices

Deliverables

1. Delivery of all assigned training sessions (32 hours) in line with the approved curriculum
2. Preparation and adaptation of session materials, where needed
3. Participant assessments (assignments, quizzes, practical exercises)
4. Attendance tracking and reporting
5. Feedback reports on participant performance and engagement
6. Contribution to program evaluation and improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience with AI and machine learning concepts
• Previous experience in teaching, training is an advantage
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Strong verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (English & Arabic)
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
