POSITION DESCRIPTION

Amideast/Egypt is seeking a qualified AI Curriculum Developer to design and develop a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy curriculum as part of the English for Career Readiness and AI Literacy (ECRAiL) program. The program targets Egyptian youth aged 18–30 across multiple cities and aims to strengthen employability through an intensive program combining English for Career Readiness, AI literacy, and Career Engagement Network Activities (CAN).

The AI curriculum component will be delivered over 32 hours within a one-month period and will target participants from technology-related backgrounds, including: 1) Aspiring tech entrepreneurs 2) Entry-level staff at tech companies 3) University students in relevant fields 4) Entry-level government employees in key ministries.

The selected consultant will be responsible for designing an interactive and practical AI curriculum, including all supporting instructional materials.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

 The consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Design a structured, logically sequenced AI literacy curriculum aligned with program objectives
• Define clear learning outcomes and session objectives for each module
• Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and supported by credible references
• Develop standardized curriculum materials, with interactive and participatory learning methods
• Ensure content is accessible to non-technical participants while maintaining technical relevance
• Submit curriculum modules to AMIDEAST for review and incorporate feedback
• (If required) Provide orientation and guidance to trainers delivering the curriculum

Deliverables:

 The consultant will be expected to deliver the following:

1. Curriculum Framework (for initial review and approval by Amideast)
2. Trainer’s Guide, including; detailed session plans, teaching methodology, references and additional resources
3. Participant’s Guide is fully developed and professionally edited
4. Instructional PowerPoint presentations and handouts for all sessions
5. Session-by-session resource list, including required materials and tools
6. Interactive participatory learning tools (e.g. case studies, simulations, videos)
7. Assessment plan, including tools to measure participant progress and learning outcomes
8. List of required tools and materials for course delivery.

All deliverables must be original and free from plagiarism.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience in developing standardized curriculum manuals, handouts, and PowerPoint (please share sample)
• Significant experience with implementing effective instructional best practices
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (English & Arabic)
