POSITION DESCCRIPTION
To plan, organize and implement a face to face engaging instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop their English language skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
  • Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs
  • Use relevant technology to support instruction
  • Observe and evaluate student's performance and development
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments
  • Provide appropriate feedback on students’ progress
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
  • Participate in department meetings
  • Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
  • Prepare tests, examination papers, and exercises
  • Devise, write and produce supplementary materials, including audio and visual resources
  • Attend and contribute to teacher development training sessions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred (i.e. TESOL, EFL, Applied Linguistics, English)
  • Teacher training certificate required.  International certification preferred (i.e. PCELT or equivalent)  https://www.amideast.org/egypt/learn-english/teach-english
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience with adult learners
  • Curriculum development experience preferred
  • Knowledge of LMS and Smart Board technology as well as MS Office applications required
  • C2 level on the CEFR required (i.e. 95-100 TOEFL iBT score)/Minimum English language TOEIC Score of 960  or C2  equivalent
  • Near-native North American accent preferred
