POSITION SUMMARY:


The Customer Service Assistant will provide front desk and administrative support to Amideast/Iraq, including data management and program support for English language (EL) training, exchange, and testing services. This person will be responsible for handling everyday program tasks and assisting with the administration of exams inside and outside Erbil. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


•           Greet walk-ins, respond to their relevant needs
•           Answer telephone & email inquiries and provide information about various programs
•           Maintain comprehensive understanding of all Amideast programs including EL courses, testing, training, and exchange programs
•           Proactively offer Amideast services and sales where suitable
•           Handle client and instructors’ daily requests and needs
•           Maintain and update a program database for all participants and candidates 
•           Handle administrative problems that might come up in a professional and courteous manner 
•           Assists in Program, Testing and EL department duties including test registrations, EL registrations, score distribution
•           Proctor exams upon request (TOEFL, GRE, SAT, ITP, and TOEIC)
•           Follow all required security precautions according to set rules & regulations, including COVID-19 precautions 
•           Prepare SAT, TOEFL, GRE, TOEIC and ITP admission tickets and scores for distribution
•           Assume other special activities and responsibilities from time to time
•           Support the office with procurement and purchases based on Amideast policies and procedures
•           Project a professional appearance and cooperative attitude, maintains high ethical standards of confidentiality in representing Amideast to ensure a professional representation at all times
•           Other duties, as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
Minimum two-year experience performing receptionist or general administrative duties
Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls with courtesy, speed, and accuracy
Oral and written fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic
Strong computer skills demonstrated proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Good customer service and public relations skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
Ability to work on multiple and concurrent tasks with constant interruptions in a busy office environment
Ability to operate telephone system, computer, and other standard office equipment 
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently with general supervision
